The Lovestars play dream pop, which is defned by thefreedictionary.com as "a type of rock that originated in the early 80's when bands like the Cocteau Twins began twisting melodies into sonic echoing textures and mumbled vocals."

Lisa Ray is a bilingual pianist/singer/songwriter from Durham, NC (originally from Tokyo). She is a classically trained pianist, and sings in Japanese and in English. Members of the press have compared her to Bjork, Tori Amos and Sarah Brightman.

Ken Ray is a composer and performer from Atlanta, GA. He has performed in punk and goth bands, as well as performing acoustically solo and in groups. 
Ken is a professional graphic artist and web designer, and is responsible for this site and it's contents.
